Colder weather is upon us, but there are still hardy veggies in the field that are ripe for the taking—by you! That’s right, we’re holding our annual U-Harvest at Fresh Roots Farm. The details:
Date: Saturday November 14th
Time: 1-4PM. Please do you best to arrive at the top of the hour, this allows us to show participants in groups, around the field. Some items like garlic may go quicker, so the earlier in the event you come, the better!
Location: Fresh Roots Farm (200 Campgaw Road, Mahwah, NJ) (directions here)
Price: $50 flat fee, plus a 3% processing fee for any credit card transactions. If you want to pay by cash or check at the event, use discount code: PAYBYCHECK
To bring: Clippers, garden gloves, bags/crate to bring your vegetables home in, water bottle
Currently, we expect to have the following crops. There is a good likelihood that more crops will be added as we see what survives the first frosts, and what is left over after our last markets.
Spinach
Garlic
Head Lettuces (frost dependent)
Arugula
Kale
Green Peppers
Various Herbs (sage, thyme, parsley)
Salad Turnips
Broccoli Greens (use like collards)
