Fall Wild Food Walk

Come to our Fresh Roots Farm on October 12 from 3:30-5 pm to attend a Wild Food Walk. Plants covered in this course will include Chickweed, Dandelion, Black Walnut, Hickory Nut, Burdock, Mugwort, and more. Learn how we can take fall forest and field abundance into our kitchens through this walk. We will learn how to safely ID and use a handful of plants.

Where: Our Fresh Roots Farm (200 Campgaw Road Mahwah NJ, 07430).

When: October 12 from 3:30-5:00pm

What: We’ll be learning primarily about the culinary uses of wild plants like chickweed, dandelion, mugwort, burdock, black walnut, hickory nut, and more but will cover some medicinal aspects of each as well.

FAQ:

  • Q: Is this event rain or shine?

    A: If there is rain that will impede the comfort of the class, we will reschedule.

  • Q: Can I bring my children or dogs?

    A: Children are welcome at this event but we ask that no dogs be brought into our farm for this event.
