Ava DiStaso is a part time farm assistant at MEVO. She started as a spring intern in 2024 and continued to volunteer and work closely with MEVO for the past year and a half.

Ava graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Earth and Environmental Science. Through her field work and work with Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms she has developed a deep connection with the land and believes in creating a future where agriculture and stewardship intersect. 

When she’s not at MEVO, Ava can usually be found at the gym, hiking, reading a John Irving novel, or traveling.
